Sadiq Khan MP pays tribute to Gareth

The funds raised by FACE, their friends and supporters are going to an extremely deserving cause. I want to pay particular tribute to Gareth Svensson, who sadly passed away last week, who has done so much to support this fundraising activity and raise awareness of Motor Neurone Disease Association. Last week they also presented a cheque to St George's hospital for electronic equipment for adolescents who are undergoing inpatient treatment. This goes to show that even in difficult economic times, the people of Furzedown are still prepared to support good causes, and those facing challenging health problems, with life changing consequences and I am delighted to support their efforts as they start a second year of fund raising in April 2012 .
