Art in the Garden
We enjoyed being part of this special day of guided creativity in Tooting Community Garden, raising money for The Women’s Garden Project.
Led by Andy Richards, founder of We Are Artists, this one-off charity workshop explored the themes of nature and sanctuary in a fun and challenging way in the beautiful setting of Tooting Community Garden, 5 North Drive, London SW16 1RN.
Materials provided (but feel free to bring your own), the art workshop starts from 2pm to 4pm, suitable for all levels, Many people popped in even if not taking part in the workshop, as it was a great chance to explore the garden - There was also be stalls selling cakes, books, plants and eco goodies from Karma Crafts.

FACE has sponsored this wonderful local initiative that's helped women with a refugee background living in our area. The project is now open to all women and offers weekly social activities for women on Thursday lunchtimes, 11:30am to 1:30pm - a friendly environment to learn new skills and enjoy this beautiful garden.
